PLANS & PERMITS REQ - CONTRCTR THIS IS A STAND ALONE (FORMER) COMMERCIAL SPACE THAT HAS BEEN, AS OF A 11/29/22 ZONING HEARING, DOWN ZONED FROM A COMMERCIAL TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING BECAUSE OF NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM THE RESIDENTS OF 700 BLOCK OF EAST OAKWOOD BLVD. NO PLANS WERE SUBITTED TO THE DOB FOR THE EXTENSIVE CONTRUCTION WORK (ALL NEW ELECTRICAL PIPING / FIXTURES, ALL NEW PLUMBING PIPING / FIXTURES, NEW HVAC SYSTEM, CONSTRUCTION OF A BAR, 2 BATHROOMS). NO PERMITS WERE OBTAINED. NO PPA LICENSE APPLICATION IS ON FILE. BASED ON THE CURRENT ZONING AS RESIDENTIAL, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO OBTAIN ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS LICENSE FOR THIS PROPERTY. THIS WAS MADE CLEAR TO OWNERSHIP, YET EVENTS HAVE BEEN HOSTED THERE THROUGHT THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE UP TO THE EVENT THAT OCCURRED 12/31/22 TO 1/1/23 THAT IS THE BASIS FOR THIS INSPECTIONAL REPORT. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 150 PAID ATTENDEES. ALCOHOL AND FOOD CONSUMPTION WAS ALLOWED. THERE WERE LOUNGE AREAS AS WELL AS AN OPEN SPACE FOR A DANCE FLOOR. THIS SPACE IS / HAS BEEN OPERATING AS A FOR PROFIT NIGHT CLUB WITHOUT ANY LICENSE. INTERVIEWS WITH NEIGHBORS OVER THE LAST 6 INSPECTIONS SINCE 6/2022 HAVE ESTABLISHED THE FACT THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ENTERPRISE.
